Websites are categorized and filtered by domain name, keywords, and blacklists. Users can choose to prevent themselves from being redirected to obscene sites and use the safe search filter to prevent the sites from appearing in search results. There are three modes of filtering: Blacklist, Safe Search, and Safe Search with Restricted Sites. The safe search mode will prevent the sites from appearing in search results. Blacklist allows the user to use one domain name as a white list and restrict the sites from the domain name appearing in search results. Safe Search with Restricted Sites allows the user to set a list of banned words.
Web Guardian also has an option to block an entire domain name, allowing you to have complete control over what your children see on the Internet.
